A Tway Air Airbus A330-300, registration HL8502 performing flight
TW-172 from Singapore (Singapore) to Seoul (South Korea) with 117 passengers and 10 crew, was enroute at FL410 about 170nm southsouthwest of Taipei (Taiwan) when the crew observed an anomaly with an engine's (Trent 772) oil supply and decided to divert to Taipei. The aircraft drifted down to FL270 and landed safely on Taipei's runway 23L about 65 minutes later.
The aircraft is still on the ground in Taipei about 14 hours after landing.
The airline reported the aircraft diverted to Taipei due to an anomaly in one of the engines. A replacement aircraft is being dispatched to Taipei to take the passengers to Seoul.
