A United Boeing 767-300, registration N651UA performing flight UA-135 from Zurich (Switzerland) to Newark,NJ (USA), was accelerating for takeoff from runway 16 when the crew rejected takeoff at high speed (130 knots over ground), the aircraft slowed safely, vacated the runway via high speed turn off E7 and stopped on the parallel taxiway. The crew advised something had hit them, possibly a bird. Tower advised there was smoke and flames coming from the left main gear. Emergency services responded. Two main tyres deflated.
