A Virgin Atlantic Boeing 787-9, registration G-VSPY performing flight VS-156 (dep Jul 6th) from Las Vegas,NV (USA) to London Heathrow,EN (UK). was enroute about 260nm northnorthwest of Goose Bay,NL (Canada) when the crew received left and right pack EICAS messages, the cabin pressure was lost. While performing an emergency descent the left pack came back online descending through FL250, the cabin pressure became normal again and the crew stopped the descent, requested to climb to FL350 and continued to London for a safe landing.

The Canadian TSB reported maintenance found the GPM (General Process Module) had failed, the unit was replaced.
