A Virgin Atlantic Boeing 787-9, registration G-VDIA performing flight VS-23 from London Heathrow,EN (UK) to Los Angeles,CA (USA), was enroute at FL340 about 50nm southsouthwest of Stornoway,SC (UK) when the crew decided to return to London Heathrow due to a fault in the fuel system. The aircraft landed safely back on Heathrow's runway 09L about 90 minutes after turning around.

The airline reported the aircraft returned due to a technical issue.

The occurrence aircraft is still on the ground in London about 19 hours after landing back.
