A Westjet Boeing 737-8 MAX, registration C-FQGG performing flight WS-4201 from Toronto,ON to Calgary,AB (Canada), was levelling off at FL360 after departure from Toronto when the crew received a hydraulic pump low pressure indication for the #2 engine (LEAP) engine driven pump. The crew worked the related checklist, the indication cleared. A short time later the oil filter bypass light illuminated, the crew worked the checklist, the indication however persisted. The crew shut the engine down, declared PAN PAN and returned to Toronto for a safe landing on runway 33R about 90 minutes after departure.

The Canadian TSB reported maintenance discovered the hydraulic line quick disconnect between the #2 engine driven pump and the #2 engine pylon was unsecured. The line was re-secured. The operator started a fleet wide check to verify the hydraulic quick disconnect connectors are all in their locked positions.
