A Yamal Airlines Airbus A320-200, registration VP-BBN performing flight
YC-32 from Moscow Domodedovo to Salekhard (Russia) with 111 people on board, was climbing through FL220 out of Domodedovo's runway 14R when the crew stopped the climb reporting unreliable airspeed, descended to FL150 maintaining FL150 with deviations of up to +/- 200 feet for 70 mimutes. The crew subsequently performed an approach to Domodedovo's runway 14R but went around from about 1700 feet about 2 hours after departure. The aircraft climbed to FL170 (with deviations of -150 to +600 feet) and set course to St. Petersburg (Russia) and landed safely on St. Petersburg's runway 10R about 90 minutes after the go around and about 3.5 hours after departure.
The Novourengoy Transport Prosecution Office reported the aircraft diverted to St. Petersburg due to technical reasons, the aircraft landed in normal mode. A safety check has been initiated.
Rosaviatsia reported the crew declared emergency and reported they had lost all airspeed information and assumed the pitot probes had been frozen over. They were tracking their speed (over ground) with the GPS only. They decided to return to Domodedovo and on subsequent recommendation by their dispatcher decided to divert to St. Petersburg, ATC agreed to provide the shortest route to St. Petersburg and a visual approach into St. Petersburg.
On Feb 12th 2021 Rosaviatsia reported that both captain and first officer lost their speed indications on the primary flight displays associated with the autopilot disconnecting. The commander decided to divert to St. Petersburg where the aircraft landed safely. Both ADR1 and ADR2 suffered the loss of total pressure due to corrosion on the contacts of the ADM-L and ADM-R block plugs. Rosaviatsia issued the recommendation to perform functional and accuracy tests of the ADMs with pitot and static test sets at least at intervals of 48 months (4 years).
