An Azul Linhas Aereas Airbus A320-200N, registration PR-YRO performing flight AD-2256 from Sao Jose do Rio Preto,SP tp Maceio,AL (Brazil), was enroute at FL390 about 130nm southeast of Brasilia,DF (Brazil) when the crew initiated an emergency descent to FL080 and decided to divert to Brasilia. The aircraft landed on Brasilia's runway 11L about 50 minutes after leaving FL390.

The airline reported a technical malfunction, the passenger oxygen masks were released as a precaution.

On Jul 25th 2025 Brazil's CENIPA reported the aircraft suddenly lost cabin pressure, the cabin altitude reached 16500 feet and the passenger oxygen masks were automatically released. The crew performed an emergency descent. The occurrence was rated an incident and is being investigated.
