An Agefreco SA Let-410 freighter, registration 9S-GFA performing a flight from Kavumu to Lulingo (DR Congo) with 2 crew, was taxiing for departure when the aircraft caught fire and burned down. The crew was able to evacuate in time.

The airline apologized to all their customers having lost freight on the flight.

Local Authorities reported an Agefreco L410 caught fire, the captain and first officer were able to exit the aircraft safely and remained uninjured.
