An Allegiant Airbus A319-100, registration N307NV performing flight G4-80 from McAllen,TX to Las Vegas,NV (USA), was climbing out of McAllen's runway 14 when the aircraft suffered a bird strike against the windshield. The crew stopped the climb at 15,000 feet and decided to return to McAllen for a safe landing about 25 minutes after departure.

The aircraft is still on the ground in McAllen about 38 hours after landing back.

The FAA reported: "AIRCRAFT WINDSHIELD STRUCK A BIRD AND RETURNED TO AIRPORT, MCALLEN, TX."
