An Alrosa Mirny Air Enterprise Boeing 737-700, registration EI-GCV performing flight
6R-551 from Novosibirsk to Polyarnyi (Russia) with 114 passengers and 6 crew, was climbing out of Novosibirsk's runway 25 when the crew stopped the climb at about 16000 feet due to an oil filter bypass indication for the right hand engine (CFM56). The crew shut the engine down and returned to Novosibirsk for a safe landing on runway 25 about 30 minutes after departure.
A replacement Boeing 737-800 registration EI-ECL reached Polyarnyi with a delay of 6:10 hours.
The occurrence aircraft is still on the ground about 39 hours after landing back.
