An American Airlines Airbus A321-200, registration N106NN performing flight AA-2 from Los Angeles,CA to New York JFK,NY (USA), was climbing out of Los Angeles' runway 25R when the crew stopped the climb at 5000 feet advising ATC they were working on a little issue, subsequently advising, they might need to come back to LAX. The aircraft entered a hold while the crew was troubleshooting the problem, the crew eventually decided to return to Los Angeles advising they did have a pressurization problem. The aircraft landed safely on Los Angeles' runway 25L about 55 minutes after departure.

A replacement A321-200 registration N107NN reached New York with a delay of 2:20 hours.

The occurrence aircraft is still on the ground about 28 hours after landing.
