AA-476 from Atlanta,GA to Phoenix,AZ (USA), was enroute at FL370 about 180nm eastsoutheast of Memphis,TN (USA) when the crew reported engine (CFM56) trouble and smoke in the cabin. The aircraft diverted to Memphis for a safe landing on runway 18R about 45 minutes after leaving FL370.
A replacement Boeing 737-800 registration N995NN reached Phoenix with a delay of about 9.75 hours.
