An ASL Airlines Belgium Boeing 747-400, registration OE-IFK performing flight
3V-875 from Novosibirsk (Russia) to Qingdao (China), was climbing out of Novosibirsk's runway 25 when loud bangs and streaks of flame were observed from one of the left hand engines (CF6). The aircraft stopped the climb at FL100 and returned to Novosibirsk for a safe landing on runway 25 about 50 minutes after departure.
