An ASL Airlines Ireland Boeing 737-400 freighter, registration EI-STM performing flight AG-624 from Catania to Milan Malpensa (Italy), was on final approach to Malpensa's runway 35R when the crew received an APU fire indication, declared PAN PAN and continued for a safe landing on the runway a few minutes later. The aircraft subsequently taxied to the apron on own power.

The aircraft is still on the ground in Milan about 44 hours after landing.
