An Azul Linhas Aereas Avions de Transport Regional ATR-72-212A, registration PR-TKI performing flight
AD-4614 from Belo Horizonte,MG to Governador Valadares,MG (Brazil) with 69 passengers and 4 crew, was climbing out of Belo Horizonte when the crew stopped the climb at FL090 due to the cabin not pressurizing and returned to Belo Horizonte for a safe landing about 40 minutes after departure.
A replacement ATR-72-212A registration PR-ATV reached Governador Valadares with a delay of 3 hours.
Brazil's CENIPA reported the crew observed the cabin altitude climb along with the aircraft's altitude, stopped the climb, worked the related checklist procedures and returned to Belo Horizonte.
