A Biman Bangladesh de Havilland Dash 8-400, registration S2-AJW performing flight BG-436 from Cox's Bazar to Dhaka (Bangladesh) with 71 people on board, was climbing out of Cox's Bazar's runway 35 when the inboard left main wheel separated from the aircraft. The crew continued the climb and flight to Dhaka, where the aircraft landed safely on runway 14 about an hour after departure.

The airline reported a left main wheel separated from the airframe shortly after departure from Cox's Bazar. Preparations for the arrival of the aircraft were done in Dhaka. All passengers and the aircraft are safe.

On May 19th 2025 the airline reported that according to preliminary investigation the wheel separated due to a bearing failure or malfunction.
