BA-493 from Gibraltar (Gibraltar) to London Heathrow,EN (UK), was enroute at FL340 about 30nm northwest of Nantes (France) when the crew decided to divert to Nantes reporting fumes in the cockpit. The aircraft landed safely on Nantes' runway 21 about 30 minutes later.
The aircraft remained on the ground in Nantes for about 38 hours, then positioned to London and resumed service.
