A Cargolux Boeing 747-400 freighter, registration LX-NCL performing flight
CV-7651 (dep Jan 31st) from Miami,FL (USA) to Amsterdam (Netherlands) with 3 crew and a load of flowers, was enroute at FL370 over the Atlantic Ocean about 160nm northwest of Shannon (Ireland) when the crew received a cargo smoke indication and decided to divert to Shannon. The aircraft landed safely on runway 24 about 25 minutes later.
The aircraft remained on the ground for about 6 hours, then continued the flight and reached Amsterdam with a delay of about 6 hours.
