A Commutair Embraer ERJ-145 on behalf of United, registration N14174 performing flight
UA-4296 from Houston Intercontinental,TX to Wichita,KS (USA) with 40 people on board, was descending through about 13,000 feet towards Wichita, when the crew decided to divert to Amarillo,TX (USA) due to a problem with one of the hydraulic systems. The aircraft climbed to FL200 again and landed in Amarillo, about 250nm from Wichita, about 70 minutes later. The aircraft was towed to the apron.
The aircraft remained on the ground in Amarillo for about 4 hours, then continued the flight and reached Wichita with a delay of about 5 hours.
