A Delta Airlines Airbus A330-900, registration N422DZ performing flight DL-21 from London Heathrow,EN (UK) to Seattle,WA (USA), was enroute at FL360 about 150nm northnorthwest of Edinburgh,SC (UK) when the crew decided to turn around and divert to Edinburgh. The aircraft landed safely on Edinburgh's runway 24 about 40 minutes later.

Passengers reported fumes on board.

The airline reported a possible issue with a floor heater.

The remainder of the flight was cancelled.

The aircraft is still on the ground in Edinburgh about 19 hours after landing.
