A Delta Airlines Boeing 717-200, registration N947AT performing flight
DL-2088 from Houston Hobby,TX to Atlanta,GA (USA), was in the initial climb out of Hobby Airport's runway 04 when the aircraft flew through a flock of birds and received a number of bird strikes. The crew stopped the climb at 8000 feet and diverted to Houston Intercontinental Airport,TX (USA) for a safe landing on runway 08L about 20 minutes after departure.
The FAA reported the aircraft received unknown damage to multiple areas.
A replacement Boeing 717-200 registration N955AT reached Atlanta with a delay of 5:20 hours.
