An Emirates Airlines Boeing 777-300, registration A6-EPB performing flight EK-128 from Vienna (Austria) to Dubai (United Arab Emirates), was climbing out of Vienna's runway 29 when the crew stopped the climb at 8000 feet reporting a cargo door indication. The aircraft returned to Vienna for a safe landing on runway 34 about 55 minutes after departure.

The aircraft remained on the ground for about 2 hours, then departed again and reached Dubai with a delay of about 3.5 hours.

A passenger reported the captain announced that a cargo door hadn't been properly closed.
