An Endeavor Canadair CRJ-200 on behalf of Delta Airlines, registration N8928A performing flight
DL-4665 from Toronto,ON (Canada) to Detroit,MI (USA), performed a visual landing on Detroit's runway 03R at 13:02L (17:02Z), crew and tower maintained routine communication. The aircraft vacated the runway and taxied to the apron.
The FAA reported however, that the "AIRCRAFT ON LANDING RIGHT WING STRUCK THE RUNWAY, DETROIT, MI." causing unknown damage, giving the time of occurrence at 18:10Z. The occurrence was so far rated an incident.
The occurrence aircraft is still on the ground in Detroit about 24 hours after landing.
