An Envoy Embraer ERJ-175, registration N225NN performing flight MQ-4450/AA-4450 from Houston Intercontinental,TX to Chicago O'Hare,IL (USA) with 64 people on board, was on final approach to Chicago's runway 10C when the crew went around from about 1200 feet MSL. The aircraft positioned for another approach to O'Hare's runway 09L but needed to go around again about 10 minutes later. The aircraft positioned for another approach to runway 09L, the crew advised they needed spacing behind them as they needed to stop on the runway. Approach control offered runway 09C for some additional length, the crew stated they were not restricted by runway length but they needed to stop on the runway. The crew decided to declare emergency reasoning they didn't want to cause any trouble to ATC and explained they had a nose wheel steering issue. The aircraft landed safely on runway 09C and stopped.
The aircraft returned to service about 13 hours later.
