An Eurowings Airbus A319-100, registration D-AGWJ performing flight EW-9090 from Dusseldorf to Munich (Germany), was in the initial climb out of Dusseldorf's runway 23L when the crew stopped the climb at 4000 feet reporting a bird strike and returned to Dusseldorf for a safe landing on runway 23L about 15 minutes after departure.
A replacement A320-200 registration D-ABZI reached Munich with a delay of about 2:45 hours.
