A Frontier Airlines Airbus A320-200N, registration N363FR performing flight
F9-4708 from Atlanta,GA to Washington Dulles,DC (USA), was descending towards Washington when beeping sounds were heard from a cargo bay. The aircraft continued for a safe landing on Washington's runway 19R and stopped on the high speed turn off clear of the runway for inspection by police using police dogs.
The FAA reported: "Frontier Airlines Flight 4708 landed safely at Washington Dulles International Airport around 2:35 p.m. local time on Wednesday, April 9, after the crew reported a possible security incident. Passengers deplaned on the taxiway. The flight departed from Hartsfield/Jackson Atlanta International Airport. The FAA is investigating. "
The airline reported the passengers were permitted to disembark normally and are being re-united with their luggage once the search is over.
