A Frontier Airlines Airbus A321-200, registration N716FR performing flight F9-1742 from Fort Myers,FL to Cincinnati,KY (USA) with 142 passengers and 9 crew, was climbing through FL290 out of Fort Myers when the crew donned their oxygen masks and initiated an emergency descent due to the loss of cabin pressure. The aircraft diverted to Tampa,FL (USA) for a safe landing on runway 01L about 40 minutes after departure.

A replacement A321-200 registration N715FR reached Cincinnati with a delay of 4:40 hours.

The occurrence aircraft is still on the ground in Tampa about 22 hours after landing.
