AI-951 from Hyderabad (India) to Dubai (United Arab Emirates) with 143 people on board, was enroute at FL360 about 100nm southeast of Mumbai (India) when the crew received indication that the left hand hydraulic system had failed. The crew decided to divert to Mumbai for a safe landing on runway 27 about 50 minutes later. The aircraft needed to be towed off the runway.
