6E-7074 from Nagpur to Lucknow (India) with 54 people on board, was climbing out of Nagpur's runway 32 when the crew stopped the climb at about 8500 feet reporting the smell of smoke on board and decided to return to Nagpur. The aircraft landed safely on Nagpur's runway 32 about 35 minutes after departure. Emergency services did not find any trace of fire, heat or smoke.
The flight was cancelled.
The occurrence aircraft returned to service about 13 hours after landing back.
