A Jazz Canadair CRJ-200, registration C-FDJA performing flight QK-8790 from Montreal,QC to Saint John,NB (Canada) with 54 people on board, was descending through FL250 towards Saint John when the crew noticed a gradual loss of cabin pressure, declared PAN PAN and descended the aircraft, worked through the related checklists and were able to stabilize the cabin pressure in manual control. The crew cancelled PAN PAN and continued to Saint John for a safe landing about 30 minutes later.

The Canadian TSB reported maintenance determined the right hand outflow valve did not fully close. The valve as well as the cabin pressure controller were replaced. A sevice difficulty report was filed with Transport Canada.
