A Jet2.com Boeing 737-800, registration G-JZBN performing flight LS-561 from Newcastle,EN (UK) to Dalaman (Turkey), was climbing out of Newcastle's runway 07 when a bird was ingested by the left hand engine (CFM56) causing the left hand engine to vibrate and prompting the crew to stop the climb at 5000 feet and return to Newcastle for a safe landing on runway 07 about 25 minutes after departure.

A replacement Boeing 737-800 registration G-GDFR reached Dalaman with a delay of 4:20 hours.

The occurrence aircraft returned to service about 23 hours after landing back.
