A Jetblue Airbus A320-200, registration N640JB performing flight B6-1411 from Fort Lauderdale,FL (USA) to Aruba (Aruba), was climbing out of Fort Lauderdale's runway 28L when a bird impacted the aircraft prompting the crew to stop the climb at 5000 feet and return to Fort Lauderdale for a safe landing on runway 28R about 15 minutes after departure.

The FAA reported: "SUFFERED BIRD STRIKE DURING DEPARTURE. A DENT WAS FOUND ABOVE THE CAPTAINS WINDSCREEN." and rated the damage minor.

A replacement A320-200 registration N662JB reached Aruba with a delay of 2:15 hours.

The occurrence aircraft returned to service about 21 hours after landing back.
