A Jetstar Boeing 787-8, registration VH-VKE performing flight
JQ-26 from Tokyo Narita (Japan) to Cairns,QL (Australia) with 220 people on board, was enroute at FL410 about 230nm south of Guam (Guam) when the crew descended the aircraft to FL100 following a cracked windshield and diverted to Guam for a safe landing on runway 06L about 45 minutes later.
The airline reported only the outer pane of the windshield cracked. A replacement aircraft was dispatched, the passengers were accomodated.
A replacement Boeing 787-8 registration VH-VKA was dispatched to Guam and delivered the passengers to Cairns with a delay of about 25 hours.
