A Kalitta Boeing 747-400 freighter, registration N707CK performing flight K4-690 from Cincinnati,KY to Anchorage,AK (USA), was taxiing for departure and had been cleared to line up runway 27 and wait with the additional information, that traffic was landing on intersecting runway. The crew read back correctly to line up and wait, however, commenced their takeoff immediately after lining up. Tower noticed the aircraft was moving and cancelled their takeoff clearance, the crew read back and rejected takeoff at about 25 knots over ground, then vacated the runway via taxiway M3 about 520 meters/1700 feet down the runway and about 800 meters/2700 feet short of the intersection.

The landing traffic vacated runway 18C after landing via taxiway J about 220 meters/720 feet short of the runway intersection a few seconds after K4-690 had vacated runway 27.

The B744 returned to the holding point runway 27 and departed runway 27 about 10 minutes after the rejected takeoff.
