A Lufthansa Cityline Airbus A319-100, registration D-AIBP performing flight
LH-2284 from Munich (Germany) to Brussels (Belgium), was enroute at FL360 about 150nm northwest of Munich when the crew decided to return to Munich reporting the failure of their weather radar. The aircraft descended to FL350 and landed safely back on Munich's runway 26R about one hour after departure.
The flight was cancelled, the passengers were rebooked onto the next flight.
The occurrence aircraft returned to service about 12 hours after landing.
