A North Star Airlines Avions de Transport Regional ATR-72-212A, registration C-FNSN performing flight BF-502 Thompson,MB to Arctic Bay,NU (Canada), was enroute about 60nm north of Thompson when the crew observed oil pressure anomalies for the right hand engine (PW127M), performed the related checklist and shut the engine down. The aircraft returned to Thompson for a safe landing.

The Canadian TSB reported: "The operator's maintenance was unsuccessful in determining the cause of the oil pressure anomalies. The aircraft remains out of service and further troubleshooting guidance is being provided by the engine manufacturer."
