A Perimeter Aviation de Havilland Dash 8-300, registration C-GPQO performing flight JV-207 from Winnipeg,MB to Gods Lake Narrows,MB (Canada) with 43 people on board, was on approach to Gods Lake Narrows then the crew received indication of the #1 hydraulic system having failed. The crew decided to return to Winnipeg where the aircraft landed without further incident about 3 hours after departure.
The Canadian TSB reported maintenance found a #1 hydraulic pump inlet/outlet O-Ring had blown out allowing hydraulic fluid to escape. The upper 2 bolts were found "backed out". A service difficulty report was filed.
