A PIA Pakistan International Airlines Boeing 777-200, registration AP-BGJ performing flight PK-9759 from Lahore (Pakistan) to Jeddah (Saudi Arabia) with 350 people on board, was enroute at FL320 about 340nm northeast of Karachi (Pakistan) when the crew descended the aircraft to FL140 due to the first officer's cracked windshield and diverted the aircraft to Karachi for a safe landing on runway 25L about 2:20 hours after departure from Lahore and about 1:45 hours after leaving FL320.

The airline reported the crew diverted to Karachi due to a bird strike that damaged the windshield.

A replacement Boeing 777-200 registration AP-BHX reached Jeddah with a delay of about 6.5 hours.
