A Piedmont Embraer ERJ-145 on behalf of American Airlines, registration N631AE performing flight
AA-6037 from Hartford,CT to Philadelphia,PA (USA) with 53 people, was climbing out of Hartford's runway 24 climbing through about 1400 feet when the crew advised they needed to return to the airfield with flight control issues, subsequently adding they had pitch trim issues. The crew managed to stabilize the aircraft at about 1500 feet MSL, subsequently climbed to about 2000 feet and positioned for a return to runway 24 advising they would perform an overweight landing. The aircraft landed safely on runway 24 about 17 minutes after departure and taxied to the apron with emergency services in trail.
