A PSA Airlines Canadair CRJ-700 on behalf of American Airlines, registration N508AE performing flight
AA-5152 from Charlotte,NC to Westchester,NY (USA), was climbing out of Charlotte when the crew requested to maintain 8000 feet to run a checklist. The crew subsequently requested to return to Charlotte due to problem with the cabin pressure. The aircraft burned off fuel and landed safely back on Charlotte's runway 18L about one hour after departure.
The flight was cancelled.
The occurrence aircraft returned to service about 12 hours after landing back.
