AA-5461 from Nashville,TN to Charlotte,NC (USA), was on approach to Charlotte's runway 18R when the aircraft received a bird strike. The aircraft continued for a safe landing.
The FAA reported: "AIRCRAFT STRUCK A BIRD AND POST FLIGHT INSPECTION REVEALED DAMAGE TO THE PITOT TUBE, CHARLOTTE, NC."
The aircraft remained on the ground for about 4 hours, then continued service.
