A Qantas Boeing 737-800, registration VH-VXQ performing flight QF-1088 from Perth,WA to Newman,WA (Australia), was climbing out of Perth's runway 06 when the crew stopped the climb at 6000 feet reporting a problem with the leading edge devices and decided to return to Perth. The aircraft landed safely on runway 03 about 30 minutes after departure.

The aircraft returned to servive about 8 hours after landing back.
