A Red Wings Airbus A321-200, registration VP-BER performing flight WZ-425 from Moscow Domodedovo to Ekaterinburg (Russia) with 205 passengers and 6 crew, was climbing out of Moscow when the crew stopped the climb at FL140. The crew had retracted the landing gear, the gear indicators showed the gear retracted, however, the ECAM showed the message "FLT L/G DOWN". The captain decided to return to Moscow for a safe landing about 40 minutes after departure.

A replacement A321-200 registration VP-BRM reached Ekaterinburg with a delay of about 3.5 hours.

The occurrence aircraft returned to service about 40 hours after landing back.
