A Republic Airways Embraer ERJ-170 on behalf of Delta Airlines, registration N818MD performing flight
DL-5833 from New York La Guardia,NY to Key West,FL (USA), was on approach to Key West's runway 09 when the aircraft received a bird strike. The aircraft continued for a safe landing.
The FAA reported: "AIRCRAFT STRUCK A BIRD ON LANDING DAMAGING THE LANDING GEAR DOOR, KEY WEST, FL.", the damage was unknown.
The occurrence aircraft continued service after about 4 hours on the ground in Key West.
