A Rimbun Air de Havilland DHC-6-300 Twin Otter, registration PK-OTY performing a positioning flight from Timika to Moanemani (Indonesia) with 3 crew, landed on Moanemani's runway 03 but veered off the right edge of the runway, contacted the airport perimeter fence with its right hand wing and became disabled with the right main gear caught in a ditch.

Local police reported the aircraft landed in strong winds. The nose tyres burst on landing, the aircraft went off the runway and its right hand main gear went into a ditch. There were no injuries. As the right hand wing got entangled with the airport perimeter fence, parts of the fence had to be taken down as well to be able to move the aircraft. The aircraft had been chartered to take troops from Moanemani to Timika.
