A Ruili Airlines Boeing 737-800, registration B-7866 performing flight DR-6558 from Xianyang to Kunming (China), was climbing through 9500 meters out of Xianyang when the crew initiated an emergency descent reporting a heating failure of the left hand windshield followed by a flashover. The aircraft diverted to Chongqing (China), entered a hold to burn off fuel and landed safely in Chongqing about 45 minutes after stopping the climb (at about 15:33Z).
