A Silkway West Airlines Boeing 747-400 freighter, registration 4K-BCI performing flight 7L-634 from Singapore (Singapore) to Baku (Azerbaijan), was climbing out of Singapore's runway 02C when the crew stopped the climb at FL140 due to a problem with the flaps. The aircraft entered a hold, dumped fuel and returned to Singapore for a safe landing at a higher than normal speed (about 190 knots over ground) on runway 02C about 100 minutes after departure.
The aircraft remained on the ground for about 43.5 hours before returning to service.
