A Singapore Airlines Airbus A380-800, registration 9V-SKQ performing flight SQ-317 from London Heathrow,EN (UK) to Singapore (Singapore) with 379 passengers and 27 crew, was enroute at FL330 about 170nm west of Frankfurt/Main (Germany) still in Belgian Airspace when the crew initiated a rapid descent to FL100, levelling off at FL100 10 minutes later (average rate of descent 2300fpm), and diverted the aircraft to Frankfurt/Main (Germany). The aircraft dumped fuel and landed safely on Frankfurt's runway 25C about 75 minutes after leaving FL330.

On Nov 24th the airline reported the aircraft was diverted due to a technical problem. The airline added the following day that it was a cabin pressurization problem.

Passengers reported there was no loss of cabin pressure.

A replacement A380-800 registration 9V-SKV was dispatched from Singapore to Frankfurt and is currently on its way to Singapore as flight SQ-9325 estimated to reach Singapore with a delay of 26 hours.
