A Sky Express Greece Avions de Transport Regional ATR-72-212A, registration SX-THR performing flight
GQ-293 from Alexandroupolis to Athens (Greece), had taxied into takeoff position when the crew reported a hydraulic problem and decided to return to the apron. The crew shut the engines down, now the aircraft rolled away uncontrolled without brakes, impacted a ground unit and became immobilized.
The Greek AAIASB reported there were no injuries, however, the aircraft sustaiend substantial damage. The occurrence was rated an accident and is being investigated.
