A Skywest Embraer ERJ-175 on behalf of United, registration N154SY performing flight UA-4707 from Denver,CO to Bentonville,AR (USA), was climbing out of Denver's runway 08 when a bird impacted the aircraft prompting the crew to stop the climb at 18,000 feet and return to Denver for a safe landing on runway 35R about 40 minutes after departure.

The FAA reported: "AIRCRAFT STRUCK SEVERAL BIRDS ON TAKEOFF DAMAGING RADOME AND FAIRINGS, DENVER, CO."

A replacement ERJ-175 reached Bentonville the following day with a delay of about 16.5 hours.

The occurrence aircraft is still on the ground in Denver about 18 hours after landing.
